The Platteville Terror was written and directed by Willy Roberts and Dan Murrell. It screened in June 2008 at Channel 101 and won the 2008 Channy Award for Best Failed Pilot.

Trivia

The shoot was plagued by bees in Griffith Park. Dan Murrell was stung while filming and Mike Manasewitsch miraculously escaped injury after jumping into a rocky ravine trying to escape the bees.
Heavily inspired by 70s creature features, particularly "Kingdom of the Spiders," starring William Shatner.
