Allen is the composer and co-lyricist of the award-winning musical FELLOWSHIP!, a musical parody of THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING. He wrote songs for AN AMERICAN CAROL, the latest feature film from director David Zucker (AIRPLANE!, POLICE SQUAD). He also wrote music for the DVD release of TENACIOUS D IN: THE PICK OF DESTINY, starring Jack Black. Allen's had music on DICK CLARK'S NEW YEAR'S ROCKIN' EVE and ABC's THE WAYNE BRADY SHOW. He played guitar and did live sound effects on the PAX improv comedy show WORLD CUP COMEDY and was the improv keyboardist for the WAYNE BRADY & FRIENDS national tour for three years. In Los Angeles, he plays for many comedy groups such as ComedySportz, Theatresports, Second City, IO West and occasionally The Groundlings.
For Channel 101 he has composed for Shitbuster (2008), Woria: Queen of Power, Unbelievable Tales, The Most Extraordinary Space Investigations, Laser Fart, House of Cosbys, Hoverboy, Twigger's Holiday and Time Belt. Allen also created music for the pilot episode of The Sarah Silverman Program and was composer for Acceptable.TV.
